Description: Bituminous Concrete is a mixture of stone of various sizes and liquid bituminous material. The mixture is heated and proportioned in a bituminous concrete plant and compacted on a road in a heated state. Once the material cools, it becomes a hard durable material. Bituminous concrete is used for roads, parking lots, tennis courts, sidewalks, bike paths and for patching same. Cold patch is also referred to as stockpile patch. It is a non-heated mixture of liquid bituminous material and stone of various sizes and special ingredients that allow it to be easily handled for placement in potholes, but hardens when compacted in those same potholes
